Earlier this year, Google announced the new search results page designs for mobile users. Mobile users have an
enhanced way to experience search results.
“About
this result” feature is another addition made by Google to enhance users’
search experience.
A few days ago, Google brought in a surprise for the mobile US-English
users by introducing
continuous scrolling to view more results before clicking the “See more”
call-to-action that is seen at the end of search results pages.
Results will automatically load on smartphone devices for US-English
users and will now have more than ten search results and up to four-page results
in one glance.
This way, as an online user you are able to browse to more
results for especially when you are looking to find more information on a
particular topic, product and service.
What’s in for a brand owner?
A brand or a website owner whose website is ranking on the
second or even up to the fourth page can attract the eyes of a potential audience in a few
scrolls.
What’s in for a Google Advertiser?
Google confirmed that
the change will not affect the Ad rankings including Shopping and Local Ads.
How are your text ads positioned in Google search
results?
Your text ads will be determined by Ad Rank considering
the Ad Rank
thresholds that include your ad quality too. Google Ad Rank will then decide
your Ad positioning
which may sometimes be seen on the top spot and later in another spot, on the Google Search results page.
You can track your Ad positioning by using the “Top
vs. Other” segment from your Google Ads account.
The introduction of continuous scrolling is expected to roll
out in the next two weeks for US-English mobile queries.
Stay tuned for the recent updates on Google Ads.
